Amy’s Opinion:

This is such a handy book, I wish I’d written it myself. (The only thing missing is mention of my green living now store in the resources, but that’s okay, the author knows about me now.)

Some of the information you will find on my site, but this simple paperback book has a lot of information in a bullet point type format. It has great tips, such as sending back your Nike running shoes back to Nike, who will turn it into “Nike Grind”- a material used in sports surfaces. Or, what about borrowing or renting an item you’ll only use once or twice, instead of buying it? Also, donating items that you don’t use anymore to local charities, or a local freecycle organization (I recently donated my old tractor mower, a beanbag chair, and rocking chair to our local freecycle organization). What a great feeling to give those items to someone who really wanted them. There’s also definitions for things like, “grass fed”, and “no VOC’s”. Loads of useful information.
