My daughter and Koko

I am a devout animal lover, always have been. Growing up in NYC with a mom who didn't really understand or appreciate animals the way I do (she's coming along now), I was only allowed to have turtles and fish. Well, actually we did have one guinea pig once, but quite honestly, she was kind of annoying.

Luckily, I married a man who also appreciates animals. He didn't have any furry pets growing up either. His mom felt much the same way about animals as my mom did.

Shortly before we got married, we got our first cat. Then, a puppy--Diamond (now 9 years old). Now, we have Diamond, Chloe (our 2 year old cat) and two horses, Koko (the yearling Premarin foal) and Magic, a majestic thoroughbred, and Koko's best buddy.

Our daughter is also an animal lover, which makes us one big happy barking, purring, neighing family.
