Amy's Opinion: Finally an alternative to plastic drinking bottles. It bothers me that most plastics can leach toxic chemicals into drinks and foods. That's why I've tried to eliminate them from my life as much as possible.

I've looked everywhere for stainless steel bottles to carry drinks in, and to send with my daughter to school and camp. I've found a terrific one, and now you can have it too. Even the cap that screws into the top is stainless steel. The plastic is on the outside of the cap and does not come into contact with the liquid, or your mouth (unless you order the sports cap-the kind of plastic cap that you find on many sports drinks. The top pops up and down.) The only negative thing I can say about this stainless steel container is that screwing the cap off and on makes a little bit of noise, but it's worth having the all stainless steel bottle and cap.

Why is stainless steel better that aluminum?

Aluminum although light weight has to be lined with something to make sure the contents are safe for drinking. Usually it is lined with baked on epoxy (toxic) or ceramic (can crack). Stainless steel does not react with acidic beverages.
